Treatment Foster Care Program

Williams Life Center, Inc. (WLC) has recently expanded to include a Child Placement Agency (CPA). In this capacity, WLC continues to provide comprehensive, culturally competent and relevant services to children in the foster care system. The program was established in 2005 due to the dire need in the State of Maryland for foster homes equipped with highly trained parents to foster “challenging teenagers.” WLC responded to this need, and established a CPA for children ages 0-21, with an emphasis placed on intensive parent training and close foster home and child supervision. We believe that our program is unique in that our services are holistic, family centered, and multi-faceted.

Our program model includes the following services to support both the foster parents and children:

• Intensive pre-service training;
• Foster Home Studies and Foster Home Re-certifications;
• On-going in-service training;
• Case Planning and Comprehensive Treatment Planning;
• Home Visits;
• Case Management Services;
• Supervision and coordination of family visits;
• Educational support and monitoring;
• Therapeutic and psychiatric services;
• Multi-family retreats
